Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted new rain spell in Karachi and various other districts in Sindh.
According to the Met Office, light rainfall is expected in Karachi, Badin, Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Umerkot, Mithi and Mirpur Khas districts.
The light rain forecast is for Monday and Tuesday with light drizzle and isolated showers across the southern part of the Sindh province.
Prior to this, PMD had predicted fifth rain spell to hit Karachi from August 14th to 16th, which however weakened resulting in light showers in multiple areas of the metropolis.
Karachi has witnessed four strong monsoon spells so far this year, resulting in 39 electrocution related deaths as the city’s electricity and drainage infrastructure was intensely overwhelmed due to torrential rains.
