Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday (today), turned down OGRA’s recommendation for fuel price hike.
PM Imran Khan has rejected Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) summary seeking increase in prices of petroleum products.
OGRA had sought an increase of Rs 14.07 per liter for petrol and Rs 13.61 per liter for high speed diesel. The regulatory authority had also recommended an increase of Rs 10.79 per liter in kerosene oil prices.
Prior to this, government had increased petroleum prices on February 1st by up to Rs 3 per liter. Petrol price was raised by Rs 2.70 per liter, whereas prices of high speed diesel and kerosene oil were increased by Rs 2.88 and Rs 3.54 per liter respectively.
Currently petroleum prices are as follows;
- E10 Gasoline Rs 109.40 per liter
- Premier Euro 5 Rs 111.90 per liter
- Hi-Cetane Diesel Euro 5 Rs 116.08 per liter
- LDO (Light Diesel) Rs 79.23 per liter
- SKO (Kerosene Oil) Rs 80.19 per liter
- JP-1 Rs 69.23 per liter
