Prime Minister Imran Khan on the occasion of Baba Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary, reiterated government’s commitment and resolve to facilitate Sikh community.
In a video statement, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday (today), reassured Sikh community of contuse support and assistance from the Pakistan government.
Expressing his views on the occasion of Baba Guru Nanak’s 551st birth anniversary, the premier reassured the Sikh Community that their holy sites in Pakistan will be protected along with the provision of relevant possible facilities.
PM Imran Khan underscored the fact that Hassan Abdal Railway Station has been significantly revamped and upgraded to facilitate the Sikh pilgrims who visit sacred site at Panja Sahib.
Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur are the two most sacred sites of Sikhs and are somewhat similar to what Mecca and Medina are to Muslims, he said.
The Prime Minister reiterated his resolve to preserve and protect holy sites of all religions, including Churches, temples and places relating to Buddhism as well as the Gandhara civilization.
