Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, visited Naval Headquarters Islamabad and lauded Pakistan Navy’s (PN) role in country’s defence and security, especially regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and Gwadar Port.
Upon arrival, PM Imran Khan was greeted by Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi and was presented a guard of honor by navy personnel.
The premier was given a detailed briefing regarding navy’s initiatives for the development of maritime sector.
CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi reiterated PN’s commitment and resolve to protect the maritime interests and sea frontiers of the country.
Imran Khan also laid a floral wreath at ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’.
The premier was accompanied by several federal ministers and government officials including Pervez Khattak, Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and Special Assistant on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf.
