Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to visit the provincial capital for a day-long visit amid COVID-19 outbreak.
Prime Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with provincial cabinet members on the issue of coronavirus situation in the province.
According to sources, Prime Minister will attend briefings in governor house on various issues including measures to provide ration for poor families. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and cabinet ministers are expected to attend the meeting as well.
Governor Punjab is said to have arranged ration for 100,000 needy families with the help of various opulent individuals who have heeded the PM’s call for donation in Corona Relief Fund.
Punjab government has initiated Punjab ‘Insaf Imdad Programme’ and Rs 1.50 billion have already been transferred to 170,000 people. Additionally, Rs 10 billion have been allocated for the provision of financial support to 2.5 million families across the province amid virus lockdown.
