PM Imran Khan has once again stressed upon the significance of tourism announcing that the government will establish ‘integrated tourism zones’ to promote tourism sector in the country.
Speaking to media in Naran, PM Imran Khan highlighted that Pakistan has witnessed a significant increase in tourism as the result of Pakistan’s success against the scourge of terrorism.
Tourism is a science all around the world. Switzerland earns US$ 80 billion per year from tourism because they have established essential infrastructure including restaurants, resorts etc.
So far, we have only focused on ‘summer tourism’, nobody has addressed the potential of winter tourism in the country, said PM Imran Khan.
If facilities will be available in both seasons, only then tourism sector could achieve its potential, he said.

Addressing the issue of untapped tourism potential in Pakistan, PM Imran Khan stressed that at least 15 ‘Nathia Gali’ can be established in country’s northern areas.
The premier apprised that government intends to established ‘integrated tourism zones’ to promote tourism and improve revenue generation.
Relating tourism industry with economic indicators, PM Imran Khan concluded that tourism sector is among those handful of domains that has the potential to uplift the country altogether.
