Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday (today) launched five-day nationwide polio vaccination drive in Islamabad.
During the launching ceremony of five-day national vaccination drive against polio virus, PM Imran Khan administered polio drops to children below five years of age at his office.
Prior to this, the prime minister had chaired a meeting of national taskforce for polio eradication during which he was briefed on various anti-polio campaigns in the country.

It is to be noted that federal government is collaborating with provincial authorities to carry out an extensive and comprehensive vaccination drive against polio virus across Pakistan.
The five-day polio vaccination drive will be carried out in 124 districts across the country and is expected to inoculate more than 33 million children under five years age.
Maulana Tariq Jamil Denounces Propaganda Against Polio Vaccination
In a video statement, renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil denounced false propaganda and rumors being circulated against polio virus vaccination.
Tariq Jamil termed polio virus as a dangerous disease and urged the parents to ensure that their children are vaccinated against the novel polio virus.
