Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated Malakand University and Swat Expressway during his visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Friday today.
Expressing his views at the inauguration ceremony of Malakand University, PM Imran Khan termed education as an essential prerequisite for social uplifting.
The premier highlighted that various initiatives for technical education along with special programs have been launched to instill Islamic values and teachings of holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

Al-Qadir University is being established with the same purpose whilst Namal University Mianwali will be made knowledge city, he said.
Furthermore, the prime minister reiterated government’s commitment for social uplifting via emphasis on industrialization as well as the agriculture and tourism sectors to take forward the country.
Swat Expressway
Furthermore, PM Imran Khan also inaugurated 80-kilometer-long Swat Expressway comprising of seven interchanges and three tunnels.

DG FWO briefed the PM and told that the 80KM long expressway comprises 7 Interchanges and 3 new tunnels of 1266, 271 and 324 meters length have been built.

PM Imran was accompanied by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan.
The prime minister was briefed by DG Frontier Works Organization (FWO) on the notable aspects of Swat Expressway. The three new tunnels span across 1,266; 271 and 324 meters respectively, apprised DG FWO.
