Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to pay a one-day visit to Afghanistan next week.
As per sources, PM Imran khan is expected to visit Afghanistan next week on the invitation of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
During his visit, the premier will discuss Afghan peace process and Pak-Afghan bilateral ties with Afghan officials.
PM Imran Khan’s Afghan visit’s date has not been made public due to security concerns.
The development comes as Afghan President Ashraf Ghani back in September 2020, had invited PM Imran Khan to visit Afghanistan.
Prior to this, Chairman of Afghanistan’s High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah had visited Pakistan along with a high-level contingent of Afghan diplomats on September 28th earlier this year.
Dr Abdullah Abdullah met with PM Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
