Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss various national security issues.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed matters pertaining to the National Action Plan (NAP).
Furthermore, the meeting also mulled over border situation with India and increasing Indian aggression along the line of control (LOC).
The meeting was also attended by federal cabinet members and various other senior government officials.
The development comes as earlier, military leadership COAS Bajwa along with Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed met with parliamentary leaders to discuss administrative affairs pertaining to Gilgit-Baltistan.
The military leadership categorically denied any political affiliation and said that the military has no role in in electoral reforms, and the accountability process.
However, the military will continue its support assistance and support to civilian administration.
