Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday, inaugurated Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences & Technology (PAF-IAST) in Mang, Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to the statement issued by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences & Technology (PAF-IAST) is one of the initiatives of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
It envisages to create highly credible technical education infrastructure both at tertiary and hi-tech industry levels, added the statement.
The institute has been established with the collaboration of Austria and will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) related studies.
Governor KP Shah Farman and Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan also attended the inauguration ceremony.
Addressing the event, PM Imran Khan highlighted the significance of investing in education sector as its essential to securing our children’s future.
“This is a big step in the right direction for Pakistan, not just the KP and Haripur,” he said
The premier highlighted that the West has opted technology and innovation and we have chosen to become mere copies.
