Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, visited Mohmand district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and inaugurated multiple development projects in the area.
The premier inaugurated Nahakki Tunnel and Sheikh Zaid Road in Mohmand. Both projects are aimed at facilitating and ensuring ease of movement and transport, which in return will boost economy and tourism in the area.
These projects will provide ease of transport, movement and will result in new trade and employment opportunities for the people of Mohmand and Bajaur. Furthermore, it will improve connectivity with provincial capital Peshawar and other districts of the provinces, said the statement issued by Prime Minister’s Office.
In addition to it, PM Imran Khan also performed the ground breaking of Timargarh-Khar-Mamad Gat road in Bajaur.
He highlighted that the present government focuses in uplifting and improving the socio-economic circumstances of the weaker segments of the society and develop the backward areas.
Border markets are also being opened which will provide opportunities to the local people to trade with Afghanistan, said the PM.
