A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) assistant manager, is reported to have been fired over having fake degree.
According to the notification issued by the national carrier, PIA’s assistant manager flight services Khalid Jadoon was sacked for having a fake BA degree.
“This is in reference to Show Case Notice issued on account of submission of Forged BA Degree during service, under provisions of PIACL Employees Disciplinary Policy 2019…..Enquiry officer after completion of enquiry proceedings declared you for guilty of charges,” read the notification.
“After careful perusal of entire record of the case, the competent authority has decided to dismiss you (Khalid Mahmood Jadoon) from service of PIACL in accordance with the applicable rules of the company. Accordingly, you are hereby Dismissed from the service of PIACL with immediate effect,” the notification added.

Prior to this EASA announced its decision to suspend PIA’s flight operation to and from EU, citing safety concerns over the issue of fake credentials of pilots and officials. However, the agency later allowed the national carrier to continue its flight operations to Europe till July 3.
Meanwhile, UAE authorities have also approached PCAA to verify the credentials of Pakistani pilots, engineers and officials working for various airlines in UAE.
