Schools in Punjab and Islamabad have been reopened for class 10, 12 students with the resumption of physical classes from Monday (today).
According to the notification issued by federal education ministry, only grade 10th and 12th students will be allowed to attend physical classes and that too under strict COVID-19 SOPs. Meanwhile, other classes will remain suspended till June 7th.
Only Classes 10th and 12th to be opened in all Districts of Punjab starting tomorrow May 31st, 2021. It will be staggered with 50% students on one day and 50% on the alternate day. No other classes to be allowed till June 7th, 2021, said Murad Raas – Punjab Education Minister.

The physical classes will be held on alternate days with the limitation of 50 % attendance.
The development comes as earlier, NCOC had announced that exams for class 10, 12 will be held between June 23 and July 29.
Prior to this, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had announced that that special O level exams will be held from July 26th to August 6th.
British Council is fully authorized to conduct mini exams series from 26th July to 6th August 2021 subject to all approved COVID-19 SOPs existing for ‘A’ level, the federal minister had said.
