Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), on Thursday, issued rain warning and advisory for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
PDMA has alerted district authorities to make necessary measures and preparations to deal with urban flooding, flash floods, landslides and various other scenarios in wake of the thunderstorm and heavy rainfall predictions made by Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) from Thursday to Tuesday.
Furthermore, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has also issued an advisory to National Highway Authority (NHA), Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and various other provincial departments to make necessary arrangements for any emergency situation.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in various areas of the country including Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujaranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Shiekupura, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, T.T.Singh, Sahiwal, Okara, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from Thursday to Tuesday.
In addition to it, PMD has also predicted dust and thunder storms in Quetta, Zhob, Harnai, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, D.G.Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, R.Y.khan, Bahwalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jaccobabad, Shaheed Banazirabad, Mirpurkhas, Badin and Hyderabad.
