Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) workers forcefully entered and occupied Multan’s Qila Qasim Bagh Stadium ahead of November 30th opposition power show.
PDM workers belonging from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday, barged into Multan’s Qila Qasim Bagh Stadium and forcefully occupied the venue for the upcoming opposition’s power show.
Syed Ali Musa Gillani – son of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, took to social media announcing that PDM workers have ‘taken control’ of the stadium.
We have taken control of the stadium. Stage is being set Multan will welcome all the guests, he tweeted.
The development comes as authorities had barricaded the stadium to prevent the PDM power show scheduled to be held on November 30th Monday.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Multan Division – Javed Akhtar Mehmood has warned strict action against those found guilty of violating COVID-19 SOPs and preventive measures.
Those playing with the health of citizens are not entitled for leniency and should be dealt with strict action over breach of SOPs. No public gathering or secret meeting will be tolerated at any cost, he said.
It is to be noted that local administration citing coronavirus threat, has denied PDM to hold a public gathering at Multan’s Qila Qasim Bagh stadium.
