Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has lauded Pakistan’s principle stance and unwavering support on Palestine issue.
In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas hailed Pakistan’s continuous support and principle stance backing Palestinian narrative on the issue.
Palestinian premier expressed gratitude for PM Imran Khan’s explicit remarks on Palestine issue in his television interview supporting the people of Palestine against Israeli aggression.
The interview President Mahmoud Abbas referred to was PM Imran’s August 18th interview earlier this year in which he categorically rebuked the rumors regarding possible recognition of Israel by Pakistan, and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support to Palestinians.
“Our stance is clear, our stance was clearly defined by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1948. We will never recognize Israel until Palestinians are given their right to a just settlement as per the two-nation theory,” he had said.
Furthermore, President Abbas said that Palestinians are proud of Pakistan and appreciate its support for their legitimate rights.
Your position in wake of ‘pressures’ that you’re subjected to, verify your courage, originality and resolve to the causes of people seeking justice, said President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Palestinian premier also wished PM Imran Khan good health and success, and progress and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.
