Sindh government has established Pakistan’s largest COVID-19 vaccination center at Karachi Expo Center.
As per details, Karachi Expo Center will be able to inoculate 30,000 people against COVID-19 coronavirus on a daily basis.
The facility will be operational from Sunday May 9th and will act as a 24-hour vaccination center.
Sindh government has announced May 10th to May 15th to be observed as public holiday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Provincial government has also decided to reopen the field isolation center at Expo Center in Karachi after witnessing a sudden increase in the number of COVID-19 cases and a rise in positivity rate.
Meanwhile, Sindh Health Department has also cancelled Eid holidays for healthcare workers in wake of prevailing COVID-19 wave. The COVID-19 vaccination process will continue with the exception of three days from 13th to 15th May.
It is to be noted that Sindh government, in collaboration with Pakistan Army had turned Karachi Expo Center into a field-hospital in wake of first COVID-19 wave in 2020 last year.
