Dr Javed Akram – Vice-Chancellor University of Health Sciences (UHS) has been selected for Excellence in Patient Care (EPCA) Award by UK’s Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
Professor Dr Javed Akram is the first Pakistani doctor to be selected for the prestigious award. He has been selected for EPCA award in the ‘Contribution to the Profession’ category.

Prof Dr Javed Akram is a Diabetologist, Internal Medicine Specialist, Endocrinologist and Consultant Physician. He holds a MBBS, FRCP (Ed.), FRCP (Glasg.), MRCP (UK), FACP (USA), FACC (USA), FASIM (USA) and M.D degree along with an experience of 38 years.
He is also a member of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and its pmdc number is 132-P.
