Pakistan is observing ‘Youm-e-Dua’ on Friday (today) seeking Allah’s protection against COVID-19 coronavirus.
The development comes as earlier, President of Pakistan – Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday announced the observance of ‘Youm-e-Dua’ to seek almighty’s forgiveness and mercy regarding prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in Pakistan.
Friday prayers across country were marked by especial supplications for protection against the novel virus.
Expressing his views in Islamabad, Arif Alvi had noted that Pakistan due to its approach based on prayers and precautionary measures has successfully prevented extensive loss of lives due to COVID-19 in Pakistan as compared to other countries around the world.
The president urged the public to ensure strict implementation of coronavirus preventive measures and SOPs as directed by the government and health experts.
