Pakistan has welcomed United Nations Secretary General’s remarks on the issue of increasing Islamophobia.
Ambassador Aamir Khan – Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan Mission at the United Nations, has welcomed the statement made by UN Secretary General António Guterres highlighting the need to ensure a collective global effort against the issue of increasing Islamophobia.
Expressing his views at the 2nd high-level conference of heads of counter-terrorism agencies of Member States in New York, UN Secretary General António Guterres noted that the most common trend in global terrorism is terrorist attacks based on racism, intolerance, Islamophobia or other forms of intolerance.
Recent Islamophobic terrorist attacks across the world are yet another wake-up call for the international community, said the UN Chief.
