Pakistan has categorically welcomed the announcement of ceasefire between Israel and Palestine bringing end to the indiscriminate Israeli bombing on Gaza since the past 11 days.
In a statement, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has welcomed the announcement of ceasefire between Palestine and Israel after 11-day bombing campaign on innocent Palestinians living in Gaza strip.

The foreign minister called for Israel’s occupation of Palestine to end and illegal settlements and apartheid like regime imposed in the occupied territories must be dismantled.
Implementation of UN res for establishment of independent and contiguous Palestinian State with Al-Quds Al Sharif as its capital, he added.
The development comes as Israel and Hamas agreed on a ceasefire that was brokered by Egypt after 11 days of Israeli bombing on Gaza.
Egyptian will be responsible for keeping an over watch and ensuring that both sides adhere to ceasefire provisions. According to diplomatic sources, two Egyptian delegations will be dispatched to Tel Aviv and the Palestinian territories to monitor its (the ceasefire) implementation and procedures to maintain stable conditions permanently.
Israel had also been under pressure from United States after US President Joe Biden publicly called for immediate de-escalation between Israel and Palestine.
The 11-day bombing and shelling campaign by Israeli forces in Gaza resulted in at least 232 Palestinians being martyred including 65 children.
I welcome the ceasefire between Gaza & Israel, after days of deadly hostilities.

According to the UNICEF chief, nearly 30,000 children have been displaced in the occupied Palestinian territory since 10 May, whereas the total number of displaced people is around 120,000.
United Nations Secretary General has also welcomed the ceasefire announcement and has called on both sides to adhere to ceasefire agreement to start a serious dialogue to address the root causes of the conflict.
