Pakistan has urged the international community to play its due role for the resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
Addressing a press-briefing in Islamabad, MoFA spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri raised concerns on extra-judicial killings by occupying Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Ten Kashmiri youth have been martyred in Pulwama and Shopian districts recently, with seven of them on a single day on Thursday yesterday.
Pakistan has consistently underscored the need for unhindered access to the UN human rights bodies, international human rights organizations and media to assess the human rights situation in IIOJK, said Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri.
Pakistan is concerned over the continuing military siege, incarceration of Kashmiri leadership, unprecedented restrictions on fundamental freedoms of the Kashmiri people and ongoing efforts to change the demographic structure of the occupied territory, he added.
