Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday, revealed that Pakistan will soon be able to start local production of disposable syringes and cannulas.
Addressing a press conference in on Saturday, Fawad Chaudhry noted that Pakistan imports medical equipment and accessories worth up to US$ 1.6 billion each year.
He highlighted that local production of disposable syringes, cannulas, blood vials and other medical equipment will save Pakistan a significant amount of valuable foreign exchange.
Meanwhile, expressing his views on renewable energy in Pakistan, Fawad Chaudhry said that the government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Chinese company ‘Skywell’ for electric buses.
Prior to this, another MoU for electric vehicles was signed with a German company which has hinted on investing in renewable energy and transport sector in Pakistan.
