Minister of State for Energy, Musadik Malik has said that Pakistan will buy one-third of its fuel from Russia.
Speaking at an event in Karachi, Musadik Malik said that protection of the local industry helps bring cheaper products in the market. The Minister of State said that the automobile industry has been protected for 50 years and added the country cannot even export a wheel or the indicator light of the vehicle. If we impose a 200% duty on the imported vehicles, the local market vehicle would get place in the local market. The federal minister said that the secret of the country’s success is hidden in productivity.
Musadik Malik said that, “We ensure local fertilizer sector cheap gas from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain”. The federal minister said that the government cut short the circular date pertaining to gas. “We have made separate tariffs for the rich and the poor in the gas sector, and the rich will pay four times more than the bill for the same gas.”
Agreement within 40 days
The Minister of State said that in 40 days, a cheap fuel deal will be made with Russia, and Pakistan will buy one-third of its fuel from Russia.
