Pakistan crossed 0.5 million daily COVID-19v vaccination for the first time on Monday a day earier.
According to Federal Minister for Planning and Development – Asad Umar has announced that Pakistan administered 525,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Monday, crossing the 0.5 million mark for the first time since the start of nation-wide mass inoculation drive earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the country also administered COVID-19 vaccine’s first doses 390,000 on Monday – the highest daily tally so far.
Currently, Pakistan is utilizing a total of six COVID-19 vaccines namely Sinopharm, CansinoBio, Sputnik V, Oxford AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinovac to carryout nation-wide inoculation drive against the novel virus.
As per NCOC statistics; 16,445,560 people have been partially vaccinated against COVID-19 with 4,094,703 people being fully vaccinated against the novel virus with the country administering a total of 20,540,263 COVID-19 vaccine doses in total.
A total of 43,790 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours of which 1,590 came back positive taking the nation’s COVID-19 positivity rate to 3.63%.
A total of 21 people succumbed to the novel virus during this time period.
As per the NCOC statistics, Pakistan’s total COVID-19 tally stands at 976,867 cases with 22,618 deaths so far. A total of 914,604 people have successfully recovered from COVID-19 whereas 2,181 are still in critical condition.
