Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO), on Tuesday, called on a senior Indian diplomat to protest against continuous ceasefire violations (CFVs) by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC).
As per the details, the senior Indian diplomat was informed about the damage caused bythe unprovoked and indiscriminate cross-border shelling by Indian troops on civilian population that caused six injuries on the Pakistani side.
The injured include Waheed – 45, Nazima Bibi – 55 and a 12-year old child named Aqeel in Bagsar Sector.
Additionally, residents of Penga village, Zareena Begum and Shaheen Begum, 50 and 30 year old respectively, were also injured along with Jamil, a 45-year old resident of Bandala village.
India has been continuously involved in unprovoked and indiscriminate cross-border shelling in a bid to divert attention from its atrocities in the disputed territory of Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Indian CFVs are a clear violation
of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding between India and Pakistan. Pakistan, on multiple
occasions has urged Indian government to allow United Nations Military Observer
Group to visit areas on the Indian side of the LoC as they have done on the
Pakistani side several times.
