Pakistan Navy (PN), on Saturday, held its passing out parade at Pakistan Naval Academy, Karachi.
The passing out parade of Pakistan Navy’s 113th Midshipmen and 22nd Short Service Commission (SSC) Course included 100 midshipmen and 65 cadets of SSC Course with Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Asif Khaliq attending the ceremony as chief-guest.
According to the statement issued by DGPR Rear Admiral M Arshid Javed Commander Karachi Vice Admiral Zahid Ilyas also attended the event.
“The Chief Guest congratulated newly commissioned officers, applauded friendly countries Midshipmen in absentia & advised officers to keep themselves abreast with latest technologies in modern warfare,” tweeted DGPR.
During the ceremony Lt Arslan Tariq was awarded with the prestigious ‘Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medal’, meanwhile Midshipman Abdul Rehman was bestowed with the ‘Sword of Honour’ and Midshipman Ahmed Iqbal Bazmi was awarded the ‘Academy’s Dirk’ by chief-guest Vice Admiral Asif Khaliq.

Furthermore, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gold Medal was awarded to Officer Cadet Muhammad Hassan Jalal, Commandant Gold Medal was given to Officer Cadet Muhammad Usman Khan of SSC course whereas Main Top Squadron won the Proficiency Banner.
