Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) rescues 23 fishermen stranded in deep sea on Thursday.
In a statement, PMSA spokesperson announced that the agency rescued 23 stranded fishermen after their boat was capsized in deep sea.
Helicopters and speed boats were utilized in the rescue operation to bring the 23 fisherman back to shore who have now been shifted to Karachi, the spokesperson said.
The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) is in fact a branch of the Pakistan Navy and a Navy-managed and Navy-controlled law enforcement agency.
Its mission is to provide protection to the Pakistan’s maritime interests and enforcement of maritime law with jurisdiction over the domestic and international waters of Pakistan including the exclusive economic zone.
Apart from enforcing maritime law, the PMSA conduct to assists in military operations against human trafficking, smuggling, and deep sea search and rescue.
