Pakistan is likely to observe Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday as Shawwal moon is expected to be sighted on Thursday, said Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday (today).
In a statement, PMD has apprised that the new moon of Shawwal,1442 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 00-01PST on 12-05-2021.
There is no chance of sighting the new moon of Shawwal,1442 AH on the evening of 12-05-2021 i.e. on 29th of Ramzan, 1442 AH, said PMD.

Meanwhile, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet in in Islamabad on Wednesday (tomorrow) for Eid-ul-Fitr moon sighting.
It is to be noted that Saudi authorities announced that Shawwal moon was not sighted in the country and Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on May 13th Thursday.
