Pakistan has conducted the highest number of COVID-19 tests and the capacity is increasing day by day.
According to the detail, Pakistan conducted the highest number of 20,167 Covid-19 tests in a day as the situation worsening day by day.
Meanwhile, authorities have launched a massive operation against the violators of Coronavirus SOPs (standard operating procedures) in various parts of the country yesterday.
Data released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) on Thursday showed up a projectile upward tally in the cases positive to the pandemic.
Pakistan conducted 20,167 coronavirus tests on June 3, the highest-ever number in a single day. A total of over 610,000 Covid-19 tests have so far been conducted in the country.
The Country has already surpassed China in terms of the number of Covid-19 affected persons, witnessed nearly 2,900 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 86,139.
As many as 64 people lost their lives due to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,793.
Last month, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar expressed hope that the country will gain the capacity of 30 thousand tests per day. He believed that the figure will be sufficient enough to study and control the outbreak of the pandemic situation.
Still, the country is far beyond the target of 30 thousand tests per day but the authorities believe that it will be achieved soon.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that people have to take precautionary measures, as the government can’t continue the lockdown.
