Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan has fulfilled technical requirements prescribed by Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
In a statement, FM Qureshi highlighted that Pakistan has successfully fulfilled the technical requirements put forward by FATF.
FATF had given a 27-point plan of action, of which 26 have been fulfilled and work on the 27th point is underway, noted the foreign minister.
FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi stressed that there is no justification to keep Pakistan in the grey list as Pakistan has taken solid steps to curb money-laundering and terrorist financing.
He also noted that politicization of FATF must not be allowed as India intends to utilize FATF for its political interests, agenda.

It is pertinent to know that earlier this month, FATF’s Asia Pacific Group (APG) on money laundering had acknowledged Pakistan’s notable progress and success in addressing various complaints and issues raised by the watchdog.
In its Mutual Evaluation Report, FATF has revealed that Pakistan has successfully complied with 31 out of the total 40 recommendations made by the watchdog aimed at addressing money laundering and various other issues.
