Federal government of Pakistan has decided to extend lock down till May 9, amid increase in COVID-19 tally.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar was addressing a press conference in Islamabad, here on Friday and he said that the countrywide lockdown had been extended till May 9 as Pakistan battles the coronavirus pandemic.
The PTI leader said that a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had been held which decided to prolong the date of the quarantine.
Umar said that the NCOC was about to start the implementation of the trace and track system from tomorrow. “Consultations were held with chief secretaries and then health ministers at the NCOC.
The prime minister has already given approval for the system.” earlier the sources said that the system will work with the help of ISI.
He also said that provinces will take their own decision according to their situation, right now patients of COVID-19 reached to 11,500.
