Pakistan has decided to extend countrywide lockdown till 30 April amid COVID-19 Pandemic.
The federal cabinet of Pakistan has allowed extending lockdown for controlling the outbreak. However, the final decision will be taken in the meeting of the National coordination committee (NCC).
National Coordination Committee will meet in Islamabad today, Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the session.
Pakistan has reported More than five thousand positive cases of the global pandemic with 100 plus casualties.
The country is in lockdown from the mid of March due to the outbreak of the coronavirus globally and it already extended in the first week of April.
Meanwhile, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has finalized its recommendations for the opening of industries and businesses phase-wise. The meeting was chaired by Planning Minister Asad Umar.
The country already decided to keep its border close for two more weeks, Pakistan has closed its borders with neighboring countries to control the outbreak of the virus and also suspended its flight and railway operations.
Inter and Intra provincial commutation is also restricted during the lockdown and only grocery stores, milk sellers, fruit and vegetable grocers are allowed to continue their services for a limited time.
