The development comes as Kabul was rocked by bomb blast on Saturday last week. The attack targeted Sayed ul-Shuhada school in Kabul’s Dasht-i Barchi locality – an area populated largely by the Hazara community.
Residents said they heard multiple blasts just as girls were leaving the school to return home and break their Ramadan fast. Most of the victims appear to have been students.
The death toll from the attack has risen to 85 with several injured still in hospitals.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident; a deadly road-side bomb targeted a bus killing at least 11 and wounded another 28 people.
