Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has clarified that Pakistan Army has nothing to do with politics and that it should be not dragged into political affairs, issues.
In a statement on Monday (today), DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar noted that Pakistan Army has no interest in political affairs and that it should not be dragged into political matters, rhetoric.
It is unsuitable to propagate and highlight political ‘hearsay’ regarding army’s role in politics without any substantial proof.
If anyone has any evidence, it should be brought forth, else such rumors should stop, noted DG ISPR.
Furthermore, Major General Babar Iftikhar categorically denied rumors regarding army being in contact with anyone via ‘backdoor’ channels.
Meanwhile, addressing the issue of Indian involvement to destabilize Pakistan, the army spokesperson accentuated that India’s nefarious role and its sponsorship towards terrorist organizations has been exposed at a global level.
Expressing his views on Ali Sadpara, DG ISPR termed the Pakistani mountaineer as a ‘national hero’ and reassured that army will go to any length to ensure a successful search operation to find the missing mountaineers.
