Pakistan Army troops are conducting ‘Zarb-e-Hadeed’ military drills as part of yearly winter training exercise in Bahawalpur.
As per details, ‘Zarb-e-Hadeed’ exercise being conducted in Bahawalpur is part of collective training drills that are carried out on yearly basis in winter season.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise is being conducted by a corps level formation which is aimed at enhancing operational preparedness in the army.
‘Zarb-e-Hadeed’ military drills cover a vast area of land with various terrains enabling the troops to practice maneuvers and strategies in the challenging terrain and weather conditions.
The participating units showcased a high level of synergy on the battlefield with effective combat movement and firepower, said ISPR.
Prior to this Pakistan Army’s Karachi Corps conducted ‘Jidar -ul- Hadeed’ military exercise in Thar desert in February last month.
The field exercise focused on enhancing operational preparedness, synergy amongst various components of forces and effective response measures under actual battlefield environment.
Defense experts say the military exercise is a befitting response to the ‘Yudh Abhyas’ (War Game) military exercise between US Army and Indian Army at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, India near Pakistan border.
