Skardu: A C-130 aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), airlifted pilgrims stranded at Dalbandin –Balochistan, landed at Skardu airport on Saturday.
The pilgrims had returned from Iran and were housed in a temporary facility at Taftan.
The rescued pilgrims lauded PAF’s initiative to arrange special sortie to assist them. Pakistan Air force has been actively taking part in rescuing stranded Pakistanis, both inside and outside Pakistan’s borders due to the travel ban amid coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to it, PAF’s transport fleet has been a key component in importing essential medical supplies from China on war footing.
Earlier, a PAF IL- 78 aircraft laden with 14 Tons of cargo comprising Ventilators, N95 masks and protective gear landed at PAF Base Nur Khan.
