Outgoing Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi paid farewell call on General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) on Saturday (today).
According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) the meeting took place at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
During the meeting CJCSC General Nadeem Raza expressed gratitude and lauded CNS Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi’s service to the nation during his ‘long and illustrious’ career.
It is pertinent to know that Vice Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi has been appointed as the new Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) of Pakistan Navy.
Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi will succeed over the outgoing Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi who will hand over the command to the former in a change of command ceremony scheduled to be held at PNS ZAFAR, Islamabad on October 7th.
