Shehbaz Sharif – PresidentPakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Opposition Leader, on Monday, appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in matters pertaining to money laundering case.
According to details, this is the third time NAB had summoned Shehbaz Sharif to answer questions regarding money laundering investigation and asset case. However, previously on two occasions PML-N president had opted to not appear before NAB officials in wake of COVID-19 threat.
It is to be noted that Shehbaz Sharif, along with his two sons Hamza Shehbaz and Suleman Shehbaz are being investigated by NAB in money laundering case.
Prior to this, Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by NAB back in October 2018, with investigation related to unlawful awarding of various contracts.
Expressing her views on the matter, PML-N spokesperson, Marriyum Aurangzeb said, “We had earlier requested that the hearing be postponed in light of the virus epidemic and the life of Shehbaz Sharif should not be put in danger because of this investigation. All information related to the case has already been provided to NAB.”
