A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred in cross-border shelling from Afghanistan in Lower Dir on Wednesday.
As per the press-release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) one FC soldier has been martyred in cross-border shelling from Afghanistan in Bin Shahi area of Dir district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to military’s media wing, heavy weapons and mortars were used which resulted one soldier being martyred whereas another two were injured.
The development comes as earlier on July 30th, three people were killed at Chaman border crossing with Afghanistan in a violent clash with Pakistani security forces.

Heavy exchange of fire followed between Afghan and Pakistani forces resulting in more than 20 injuries and additional casualties on both sides of the border.
