KARACHI: Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho has said that the Omicron patient had not been vaccinated.
According to details, Sindh Health Minister said in a video statement that genomic investigation of a suspected case of Omicron variant is underway in Karachi. Symptoms of the virus in a 57-year-old patient indicated that it is Omicron.
In a statement, the Sindh health minister said that the Omicron virus spreads rapidly but has a low mortality rate. There have been no more deaths from the virus, according to reports from South Africa.
The Sindh Health Minister said that the results of the genomic study could take up to two weeks. The best way to prevent any type of virus is to get vaccinated. It spreads rapidly due to non-vaccination.
Dr. Azra Pechuho said that the suspected patient of Omicron had not been vaccinated. Citizens are urged to apply booster doses after both doses of the vaccine. Precautions and vaccinations are essential to prevent the virus.
