Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase in fuel prices of up to Rs 12 per liter.
As per details, OGRA in its summary to petroleum division has recommended an Rs 12 per liter increase in petrol prices.
Meanwhile, Rs 10 per liter increase has been recommended for diesel.
The increase in petrol and diesel prices has been recommended on the basis of increment in levy to Rs 30 per liter. Currently petrol and diesel are being sold at Rs 21.56 and Rs 23.9 per liter.
If approved, the increase in fuel prices will be in effect from Monday February 1st.
The final decision regarding any change in fuel prices will be made by Ministry of Finance under Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and will come into effect after the approval of PM Imran Khan.
