Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Mehmood Jahangiri on Wednesday, took oath as additional judges for Islamabad High Court (IHC).
As per details, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah administered oath to newly appointed additional judges namely Judge Babar Sattar and Mehmood Jahangiri.
IHC Legal fraternity and representatives from district bar attended the oath taking ceremony.
The development comes as earlier, Ministry of Law and Justice had issued notification announcing the appointment of the two new additional judges IHC.
The two judges had previously been nominated by Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed in accordance with Article 175-A of the Constitution of Pakistan.
It is to be noted that Babar Sattar had previously represented Supreme Court judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa as an advocate, in the presidential reference filed against he later.
