Noor Mukaddam Murder Case
27-year-old Noor Mukaddam – daughter of a former ambassador Shaukat Ali Mukadam, was murdered by Zahir Jaffer at a house in F-7/4 on July 20th earlier this week.
A case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code has been registered against Jaffer at the Kohsar Police Station.
Meanwhile, the postmortem report has revealed that the victim was beheaded and had assault marks on her body and was stabbed several times as well before getting slaughtered.
The suspect and accused murderer Zahir Jaffer was apprehended from the crime scene only after he managed to severely wound a Therapy Works staff member.
Therapy Works is a drug rehabilitation center where Jaffer is believed to have sought treatment.
Shaukat Ali Mukadam – victim’s father while speaking to media, has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for taking a personal interest in the case.
“This is not a case where the suspect escaped. He was caught and caught with a weapon,” Mukadam had said.
He had said that Jaffer is “not a person with a mental disability”.
“If such a person was employed as the director of a company, then his parents, too, must be made part of the investigation,” Mukadam had said.
Mukadam had said that he has served the country as an ambassador and only seeks justice.
“This is a clear-cut case. The killer is standing right before us,” he had said.
The former diplomat had added that the murder was “witnessed by the gate-keeper” of the house.
The accused Zahir Jaffer is a member of the Jaffer Group of Companies, the Chief Brand Strategist for Ahmed Jaffer & Company (Private) Limited and owner of multiple companies like Jaffer Brothers (Private) Limited, Jafferjees (Private) Limited, SM Jaffer Private Limited and AJCL Travel & Tours etc.
Zahir Jaffer is also reported to have been involved in sexual harassment and rape cases in United Kingdom.
Islamabad police has sought the interior ministry’s approval to place the name of Zahir Jaffar, the prime accused in the murder case of Noor Mukadam, on the exit control list (ECL).
Separately, the team which includes Operations DIG, Operations SSP, Investigation SSP, Kohsar ASP, and Kohsar SHO among others, has even decided to approach institutions to seek Jaffer’s criminal record in the US and UK.
