All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) has announced that there will be no summer holidays this year in schools all across the country.
Kashif Mirza – President APPSF, has said that schools across Pakistan will remain open in summer this year and there will be no summer vacations for students.
The schools remain open between 7:00 am to 11:00 am, he said.
Furthermore, President APPSF noted that students don’t necessarily have to follow uniform code and will be allowed to attend their classes in casual clothing.
The decision to relax uniform code has been made in light of extreme heat in various areas in the country, added Kashif Mirza.
Additionally, schools which have the capacity and infrastructure to adopt to online classes, will be allowed to do so.
The development comes as educational institutions including schools have remain largely closed since the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus in 2020 last year.
Despite the fact that many schools resorted to online classes and virtual learning approach, most of the schools simply didn’t have this capacity and lacked the necessary infrastructure leading to significant academic loss for pupils, specially school students.
