The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday, increased power tariff by Rs 0.48 per unit.
As per details, NEPRA has raised power tariff on electricity by Rs 0.48 per unit on accounts of fuel charges for the month of August.
The increase in tariff hike will further add additional burden of Rs 5 billion on consumers.
The tariff hike will be applicable on all consumers with the of lifeline consumers of power distribution companies.
The fuel charges adjustment will be highlighted separately in consumers’ bills by XWDISCOs in the billing month of November 2020.
Prior to this, NEPRA had approved tariff hike of Rs 0.83 per unit for the month of July citing variations in fuel prices.
