Islamabad: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a list enumerating its requirements to tackle coronavirus outbreak
NDMA has sent a list to Foreign Ministry stating immediate import of necessary medical equipment and accessories to assist health workers in screening and treatment of coronavirus patients.
According to details, 20 million surgical masks, two million hand sanitizers, 100,000 thermal guns, 10,000 ventilators, 500 mobile X-Ray machines and 22,000 medical eyewear are needed by authorities to deal with coronavirus threat.
Foreign Ministry has been asked to forward this list to all its embassies world-wide.
The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan rose to 332, with 213 in the Sindh province alone. Punjab has reported 33 confirmed coronavirus cases while Balochistan, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, AJK/GB have reported 45, 2, 23 and 16 confirmed coronavirus cases respectively.
