According to Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has given its permission to hold professional exams and tests across the country.
Shafqat Mahmood took to social media to announce government’s decision to hold professional exams after NCOC’s approval following the review of COVID-19 situation in the country.
‘NCOC has allowed holding of professional exams/tests etc. Please apply to Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Islamabad with details of exam centers, number of students and SOPs to be followed. If all arrangements are satisfactory permission will be given promptly, he tweeted.

The development comes as Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar chaired the NCOC meeting over COVID-19 restrictions. The meeting was also attended by SAPM Dr Faisal Sultan, provincial chief secretaries and other members in attendance via video link.
As per details, professional and non-professional exams would take place on a case-to-case basis depending on recommendations from the Ministry of Education, whereas SSC and HSSC exams will be held after June 20th.
It is to be noted that NCOC has announced that educational institutions will open in districts where the coronavirus positivity ratio is less than 5 per cent and outdoor dining will be allowed till 11:59 pm and takeaways will be allowed 24/7. Tourism will be allowed to operate under stringent coronavirus protocols.
