The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced its decision to close the Nawabshah airport runway due to locust swarms in the vicinity.
The decision to close down the Nawabshah airport runway has been made due to locusts swarms in the area that might pose threat to any aircraft operating in the vicinity.

“The runway of the Nawabshah airport will remain close for landing of the flights,” said the notification issued by CAA.

It is to be noted that Pakistan is currently experiencing second wave of locusts swarm attacks, whereas the first was wave was witnessed back in June 2019.
